The sky itself splits apart, swallowing everything into the endless black void beyond.

This artwork depicts a catastrophic apocalyptic event. Like a black hole, the rift in space indiscriminately pulls everything in its surroundings toward it—landscapes and living beings alike.

The dominant color of the piece is a vivid red. Radiating from the rift, its light bathes everything in crimson, emphasizing the overwhelming power and omnipotence of the phenomenon.

One of the greatest challenges was making the rift feel like the true center of the gravitational pull. I achieved this through the movement of light fabrics, the poses of the fleeing figures, and most importantly, the immense clouds of sand being torn from the horizon and drawn into the rift.
